ReZoom multifocal IOLs are the ideal lenses for cataract patients
Introduction
According to Dr. Boothe, cataracts are one of the most common vision problems for older patients. Until recently, surgery was the main type of treatment and, in some cases, even surgery wasn’t an option. These days, thanks to the ReZoom multifocal IOL (intraocular lens) many people can have a normal life again. ReZoom IOLs are special lenses that can be used for both nearsightedness and farsightedness. As the commercials say, they are good for far vision, near vision, and everything in between. This is a great thing because it offers a lasting solution to your vision problems.
How do ReZoom multifocal IOLs work?
As the name implies, they have a special ability to zoom. In this way, like the human eye or a camera lens, they will adapt to the needs of the individual patient. When you want to read a book, they will be perfect for near vision, and when you need to see something far away, they will adapt for far vision. They are implanted in the capsular bag through a small incision in the eye, which is where the name intraocular lens comes from. Each lens is different, made specifically for each unique patient. Before you can receive this procedure, you’ll need to discuss the procedure and your medical history with Dr. Boothe. He will be able to offer you all the information that you need. While you can find a lot of information from articles and the internet, discussing with your doctor is the best thing to do. Of course, like any other procedure, it has its risks, which we will discuss next.
Risks of ReZoom multifocal IOLIOL
Like many other cataract solutions, the ReZoom multifocal IOL procedure has some risks associated with it; however, by choosing a reliable, experienced, and thorough doctor, you will greatly minimize the likelihood of complications. Having a multifocal lens implant can be a great thing, as you won’t be obligated to wear eye glasses or change your contact lenses each day. On the other hand, in some low visibility conditions, you may lose some sharpness in your vision; however, the same can be true when wearing normal glasses. Most complications are minor or temporary. Some of the rare complications include infection or bleeding, particularly if you don’t use proper hygiene during the healing process or if you don’t choose the right doctor.
If you have cataracts, you need to make an important decision. Schedule a visit with Dr. Boothe, so he can tell if you this solution is right for you, and then guide you through the process. Imagine being able to go about your normal activities without the need for glasses. On the internet, you will be able to find other people who have tried ReZoom multifocal IOLs. On forums you can read about their personal experiences and even ask them questions.
Your Vision and Lasik: What are the Benefits?
Lasik eye surgery is commonly chosen because the recovery period is very quick and almost all procedures are successful. It is one of the best corrective eye procedures out there, even for those who have astigmatism and other eyesight problems. The majority of Dr. William Boothe’s patients are highly satisfied with the outcome of their surgery, and most of them returned back to their normal routines within one day. It
Lasik is also a quick and painless procedure, which is a big advantage for patients. The laser used in the procedure creates a flap with less surface area, resulting in a quick healing process and less scarring. Only a small percentage of patients experience postoperative complications. Another advantage of Lasik is that it is a painless procedure that is performed under local anesthesia.
Boothe Eye Care & Laser Center offers different payment plans, making Lasik an affordable laser eye correction procedure.
Why are People Attracted to Lasik?
Patients choose Lasik eye surgery not only because of the quick and painless process, but also because of the immediate results. Most patients experience immediate improvement of eyesight only minutes after the surgery is finished, and almost all patients ended up with near-perfect eyesight. Follow-up visits are needed as the full restoration of vision can take up to six months.
Another major benefit that attracts patients is the freedom from corrective eyewear. Patients often consider Lasik eye surgery because they are not comfortable with their contact lenses or eyeglasses. The procedure eliminates the need for these, and patients are free to enjoy their hobbies and career without feeling self conscious or uncomfortable.
What do you need to know when you consider the cost of Lasik?
First, when you consider the cost of Lasik, you must find out what is included in the price provided to you by the Lasik surgeon/center in order to understand whether there would be additional out-of-pocket expenses that you will later incur and should be taken into consideration when comparing prices between different surgeons.
The initial part of every treatment is having a proper preoperative exam. Before you can be scheduled for a laser correction surgery eye, an examination is obviously necessary. Some centers have a separate examination charge that is not part of the total price of Lasik in order to provide you with a lower quote for the procedure.
Lasik surgery is painless procedure. It is possible due to special eye drops which are used before surgery. Also, following your vision correction procedure, you will need a combination of antibiotics and/or anti-inflammatory eye drops. At Boothe Eye Care all the necessary medicine is included in the amount you are quote here.
Follow-up consultations are also included in the total cost of Lasik at our center. Again, some discount centers ask for payment on some/all postoperative visits separately. It is important to remember that every patient has a different way of recovery and good postoperative care where you are not worried about incurring extra costs may affect the end result of your laser eye surgery. That is why at Boothe Eye Care we provide you with enough time and as many follow-up visits as needed to make sure your healing process will be completed successfully and all of the time we spend with patients is already included in the fee we charge for a Lasik treatment.
Lasik surgery is popular correction vision procedure because the outcomes are generally very satisfying. Each of us can think of different ways to save money that are better than having a cheap Lasik surgery by an inexperienced doctor or using old techniques. If you hesitate, please come for a consultation at the Boothe Eye Care center and let’s consider together what is best for your eyes. The emotional and economical costs of having revision surgeries or having unstable results that deteriorate quickly after surgery justify that you will do the research and make the right choice on the first time.
FAQs on IntraLASIK Procedure
What is IntraLasik procedure?
IntraLasik procedure is a bladeless procedure used for the correction of refractive errors. Unlike other laser procedures that use a microkeratome (blade) to create the corneal flap, intraLaSIK procedure uses a laser to create the corneal flap. After creating the corneal flap, an excimer laser is applied to correct the refractive error of the patient.
Explain the working of IntraLASIK procedure?
The IntraLASIK method uses small and rapid laser pulse for the creation of the corneal flap. Microscopic bubbles are formed using the laser pulse at a certain depth within eye which will be decided by Dr. Boothe. Dr. Boothe will move the laser back and forth in the eye to create uniform bubbles beneath the cornea. The corneal flap is then created by separating the layer where the microscopic bubbles are formed. The doctor will then go to the second step of the procedure only after creating the corneal flap.
How can you differentiate between corneal flap created by IntraLASIK method and the flap created by microkeratome?
Microkeratome is a surgical instrument that has a steel blade which is used to cut the corneal flap. The microkeratome is used to make a one-dimensional and single cut of the cornea. The blade may shake when the doctor use the microkeratome resulting in irregular surface of the cornea. This will affect the quality of vision after the surgery. But in IntraLASIK procedure, the laser will create a perfect corneal flap without any irregularities.
What is the success rate of IntraLASIK procedure?
The success rate of the IntraLASIK procedure is very good. In majority of the cases, the patients are achieving 20/20 vision.
Will the outcome of the surgery last longer or not?
IntraLASIK surgery is used to correct the refractive errors of the eye so that the vision will become normal. For those people who are at the age of 40 and above are at the risk of Presbyobia which require spectacles to read. Hence, spectacles are necessary for people who are at their forties. Occurrence of cataract can also change the vision of the people who had undergone IntraLASIK surgical procedure.
Are there any complications in this procedure?
The chances of complications are much lesser when compared to other laser procedures. Dr. Boothe is an expert and experienced LASIK surgeon who can perform the intraLASIK procedure with lesser complications. In some cases, dry eyes, night vision problems and infection may occur.
How much time is required to create the flap using IntraLASIK procedure?
Only 15-20 seconds are required for each eye to create the corneal flap. Altogether, it may take around 10 minutes by including the time taken for the preparation of the surgery.
Is intraLASIK procedure is painful?
Dr. Boothe will apply anesthetic eye drops to reduce the pain during IntraLASIK surgery. After the procedure, the patients may experience light sensitivity, foggy vision and stinging sensation for about 3 to 4 hours. There will be no discomfort after the initial 3 to 4 hours after the surgery.
Are the results of the IntraLASIK permanent?
Yes. The outcomes of the IntraLASIK are permanent. But you can do future corrections for myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. Presbyopia developed after the age of 40 cannot be treated using IntraLASIK surgical procedure.
What is LASIK and who can benefit from this procedure?
LASIK is a surgical procedure performed to correct refractive error of the eyes. Individuals suffering from refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism benefit from this surgery.
Who do you consider an ideal candidate for LASIK?
To determine whether you are an ideal candidate, Dr. Boothe will ask you to undergo several tests. After evaluating the results, Dr. William Boothe will be able to decide whether the patient is suffering from myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism or other eye conditions. The extent of your refractive errors will be determined by performing further diagnostic procedures. The best way to know if you will be a good candidate is to perform these thorough tests and see if LASIK will fit your needs.
How much time do you require to complete a LASIK surgery?
Normally, a LASIK surgery by an experienced eye doctor requires five to seven minutes for the completion of the procedure for each eye or about fifteen minutes to complete work on both of the patient’s eyes.
Is LASIK is a lifelong treatment? Will I need to wear reading glasses after LASIK procedure?
LASIK treatment is a permanent treatment for your current refractive errors. Normally, patients who are below the age of 40 can read well without spectacles after the treatment. Patients with more than 40 years of age may require reading glasses because they tend to develop Presbyopia. The LASIK procedure does not treat presbyopia.
How soon after surgery can I go back to work?
Most of the patients can return to their workplace on the very next day. The healing time will vary from one person to another. It is a good idea to maintain some level of flexibility and be allowed to rest for a day or two after LASIK surgery if necessary. Dr. Boothe recommends you to take a leave from work for a couple of days, if possible.
How much time is required to obtain optimal vision after LASIK?
LASIK surgery assures fast recovery of vision. Most of the patients are achieving good vision on the very same day of the surgery or on the next day. Immediately after the surgery, you may feel like you are looking through water. But, within four hours after surgery, your vision will become clearer. During the healing period, it is common that patients experience phases of vision recovery in which their eyesight varies between blurry and clear for some weeks. Vision will improve continuously, but it may take 2-3 months to achieve the best vision, especially for patients with high prescriptions. Patients who had undergone LASIK surgery for hyperopia may have to wait longer to get a clear vision.
Is it possible to achieve 20/20 vision after LASIK surgery?
The outcome of your LASIK surgery depends up on the strength of the patient’s prescription and other associated factors. Most patients without any previous history of eye disease can achieve a vision of 20/40 or even better. More than 50% of the patients will get 20/20 vision or better. Dr. Boothe will usually be able to estimate the probable outcome of your surgery after learning the results of the pre-op tests. You have to know that 20/20 vision achieved through LASIK procedure will feel a bit different from 20/20 vision achieved by corrective lenses.
Is it possible to correct both eyes on the same day?
According to Dr. Boothe, both the eyes can be corrected on the same time. This saves time and also eliminates problems related with period imbalance. Some patients prefer to complete surgery in two steps and this option is valid as well.
What happens when I blink or move my eyes at the time of the surgical procedure?
While doing the procedure, the eyes will be kept opened with the help of an eyelid opener. So, there is no question of blinking or moving of eyes. The laser is under the complete control of the surgeon, and if requires he can stop the surgery until the patient feels comfortable to focus on the fixation light. Special tracking software is installed in advanced laser systems and they correct themselves in real time if involuntary eye movements occur.
What about the safety of the LASIK procedure?
LASIK procedure, if done by an experienced surgeon who uses the most up-to-date machinery, is very safe for patients. Nowadays risks or complications after the procedure are very rare. Again, it is important to remember that LASIK procedure should be performed only by an experienced and skilled surgeon.
IntraLasik is an exceptional corrective surgical procedure for vision. This technology is the biggest breakthrough in vision corrective surgery using laser in years. IntraLasik procedure creates the flap using the precision of laser without using a blade. The IntraLasik procedure is therefore a bladeless procedure which eliminates all the complications associated with a blade-assisted Lasik procedure. IntraLasik surgery is performed using a computer-guided laser technology which helps in creating the flap with laser and without human errors. By creating the corneal flap using a laser, the patient will receive exact corneal flap thickness, diameter and centration which results in a more precise outcome of the surgery.
Customized creation of corneal flap is possible with the help of IntraLasik technology. According to Dr. Boothe, the consistent accuracy of the IntraLasik technology enables the doctor to treat patients with thin corneas who were not considered candidates before. The creation of corneal flap using the laser provides precision on the micron level. The preciseness of setting your corneal thickness is important for the success of the laser eye corrective surgery, and this preciseness can be achieved through IntraLasik better than in other methods. Flap stability is also better when compared to other Lasik procedures. Re-positioning of the corneal flap can be done securely with the help of IntraLasik.
In a typical IntraLasik procedure, quick laser pulses are used to create microscopic bubbles for the separation of the corneal tissue. These microscopic bubbles form a uniform layer of particular depth. The corneal layer that is created with the assistance of the laser will be very smooth. The whole process of the creation of this layer it will usually take only fifteen to thirty seconds. After creating the flap, Dr. William Boothe will lift the corneal flap to reveal the corneal surface to be treated. After revealing the corneal surface, Dr. Boothe will continue with the vision correction by re-shaping the cornea, using the laser to correct each patient’s specific composition of refractive errors.
IntraLasik eye surgery is a comfortable and safe procedure, and you can observe a noticeable improvement in the vision from the next day & onwards. According to Dr. Boothe, most of the patients can resume their normal activities such as driving, working etc within 1-2 days. At the same time, he stresses that patients should avoid using any kind of eye makeup at least for three days after the procedure. Patients should also avoid rubbing their eyes and swimming for about two weeks after completing the procedure. IntraLasik eye procedure may create some sensitivity to bright light in the weeks following the surgery.
Some patients will experience dry eyes, and Dr. William Boothe may recommend you to use lubricating drops to maintain the moisture of your eyes. Post-operative dry eye symptoms are reduced when compared to other Lasik procedures. Most of the patients are achieving 20/20 vision or better with the help of the IntraLasik procedure. The preciseness of corneal flap creation reduces the occurrence of post-operative astigmatism which is possible in the case of creating flap using microkeratome. If you would like to correct the refractive error using IntraLasik technology, contact Dr. Boothe for further information by phone (214-328-0444) or at his main website, boothelasercenter.com.
From my first consultation with Dr. Boothe I was fully convinced that he was the best Lasik surgeon in the USA. I felt that he was carefully listening to my requests and his center was created with patients in mind. He gave me clear answers to each of my questions and dedicated as much time as I needed without any pressure. I had come there for a couple of times before my laser eye surgery and I was pleased with everyone’s sincere attention. The IntraLasik surgery at this eye care laser center was personally carried out by Dr. Boothe. A few hours after surgery Dr. Boothe called me to check how I was doing. In the next visit he checked my eyes, dripped eyes drops and announced that the surgery was a success. His focus on the little details made it into an extremely positive experience. My eyesight is better than ever and if I ever have any problems with my eyes I will definitely visit this eyecare center again.
“100% vision”, “perfect eyesight”, “an ideal vision”, “good vision”, “the best eyesight” - I listened to my friends and relatives over the years and wanted to do Lasik, but never made the crucial step towards it. I had bad eyesight as you can imagine and I was very depressed about it. I used glasses continually for all of my life. I can not recall when was the first time wore the glasses, I do remember I wore my glasses in the kindergarten, in school, to play basketball. I used a second pair of glasses to read my favorite books. I wanted to have good eyesight like all normal people. But every time at the consults with ophthalmology specialists I heard that my vision was +7, +9 or other words it is progressive hyperopia.
When I finally reached the age where the cornea is stabilized, I was all ready for Lasik. I knew I would do it at Boothe Eye Care & Laser Center (I planned it for years!) and thy tested my eyes and declared that I was a good candidate for Lasik can do laser eye surgery to permanently get rid of the glasses. Of course I said yes and a couple of hours later my father drove me back home. I don’t remember much of the surgery, it was all done in a heartbeat.
My eyes can see the world now without glasses. It feels great! Thank you Dr. Boothe for being so kind and your assistant Jenny was also sincere and attentive.
Since childhood I had a lot of vision problems. At first I found it difficult to study at school because my eyes had a heavy load - I was asked to read many books and fulfill many exercises, because it was a private, demanding elementary school. When I was about 10 years old my parents took me to an ophthalmologist and he explained that I have to start wearing glasses if I want to preserve my current vision abilities.
I waited patiently for years, hearing about adults who had a laser surgery to correct their eyesight. I never liked the way I looked with glasses so I started using contacts. But my feeling was that I am still limited, especially when I went with friends to water parks, swimming pools, and some kinds of adventure sport activities.
Last December I turned 18. My parents knew what I want as a gift. They took me, based on my sister-in-low advice, to Dr. Boothe Laser Center. She gave this center a high recommendation. I grew wary of doctors but I wanted to restore my vision and with hope in my heart I went to talk to Dr. Boothe. He spent a lot of time with me and used all kinds of high-tech devices to check my eyes.
Most of all I was impressed by the quiet, ordered was this center operates. I could trust Dr. Boothe and his staff to fix my eyes for good. I was glad when Dr. Boothe said that I was a good candidate for intralasik surgery. I did not feel any fear, I read about this surgery online and knew it will be quick and will not hurt.
Dr. Boothe performed a complex surgery to restore vision on both of my eyes. He explained to me the technical details but I am not sure I can repeat them… Basically, after my surgery I rested for a few hours and then I started looking around and found out that I have almost perfect vision. Now I feel free to do anything I want without worrying about my eyeglasses or contacts. My parents and I want to thank you again Dr. Boothe for what you did for me.
A long time I wore eye glasses and was not ready for laser eye surgery. At first I thought that it very expensive for me and I did not have enough time to look for a good ophthalmology center. Last year I change jobs and began work at a big office. A lot of office-workers have perfect vision and I found later that the most of them had the laser eye surgery. I was contemplating on laser eye correction more and more. I was tired of wearing glasses.
At first, I did some research over the Internet to find a center where I would do laser eye surgery. Boothe Eye Care & Laser Center was the most suitable center for me. Boothe’s center has very good credentials. I want to note that I chose this place because of the great reputation of Dr. William Boothe . He is an experienced surgeon and I felt comfortable to let him perform the operation.
Secondly, Boothe Laser Center was very close to home. It was very convenient and I knew that visits would be a very short travel.
Thirdly, I had a brief conversation with post-op patient that strongly influenced my opinion. After our talk I received not only information about center and Dr. Boothe but I got answers to many troubling me questions.
The counselors are very nice people and they cared for my eyes after I had them done. The assistants were very thorough with recommendations and were ready to explain something I did not understand. After surgery Dr. Boothe gave me a special kit. This kit consist of drops, a second pair of plastic patches, sunglasses.
One month letter I had my follow-up consultation with Dr. Boothe. Like I said he is a good surgeon and is very pleasant person. The last time he examined my eyes and said that condition of the retina is normal.
In conclusion, I am very grateful to Dr. William Boothe and I would without a doubt recommend Boothe Eye Care & Laser Center.
I want to express my appreciation to Dr. William Boothe. The lively atmosphere and the focus on clean, friendly services in his center were impressive. This is the place, as far as I’m concerned, for treating patients with poor vision. The assistants very attentively care for each patient, especially those who are of old age. I found out that at Boothe Laser Care Center the personnel has a high level of education and they are more respectful than in many other clinics I visit.
Initially, I thought that with the years passing, my vision slow deterioration is normal. People age and their vision changes as part of the process. I hesitated to go to the center and was not sure it is possible to find a treatment for improving eyesight at my age. My daughter told me about her experience with Dr. Boothe and it influenced my opinion. She said that at the center there were also olded patients and they were satisfied with the recovery and their result. She had a treatment at the center and was able to improve her vision and does not need glasses any longer.
One day I took the telephone number of Boothe Laser Care & Eye Center and made a consultation with their main surgeon William Boothe. Very comfortably, that center works on weekends because on weekdays I usually busy. On Saturday I came to Dr. Boothe and my eyesight was examined in a few ways. I met with different counselors and nurses who were kind-hearted and patient with me. Finally I met Dr. Boothe with his nurse and he diagnosed that I have the initial stages of cataract. He said that I have to immediately undergo the treatment in order to stop developing cataract and that I will have laser therapy to restore the lost vision.
I underwent all treatments and after two month I was a good candidate for laser surgery. I am very glad that laser procedure is available for patients of all ages. Dr. Boothe explained that laser surgery is a painless procedure so I was calm and did not worry about it.
Yesterday, I had follow-up consult. Dr. William Boothe was very satisfied with the results of my treatment. He recommended me to continue taking care of my eyes as instructed. I am 65 years old but I have vision as when I was 18. I adamantly recommend to do laser correction for those who hesitate.
Before undergoing LASIK surgery, patients are often advised to follow a set of pre-operative instructions that will be provided by the doctor who will perform the surgery. Dr. William Boothe explains he will ask for the medical history of each patient - information such as present medications, illness, and allergic reactions to any medications, previous surgeries etc. This will help him to determine whether the patient is a candidate of LASIK eye procedure. If you are recognized as a candidate for LASIK, Dr. Boothe will provide you with specific instructions that have to be followed prior to the surgery. You must follow those instructions to reduce any chance of complications after the LASIK surgery.
Often, Boothe Laser Center will provide you with some of these instructions:
You should not use soft contact lens a couple of weeks prior to surgery because your cornea needs to return to its normal shape. Usage of hard contact lens should be stopped six weeks prior to a LASIK surgery. Patients should not use any kind of creams, lotions or cosmetics on their face as well as eyes. You should also refrain from any kind of eye make-up on the day of your LASIK surgery. Enough rest should be taken before a LASIK surgery. Patients are often asked to arrive to the center one hour before the surgical procedure. Patients can eat light food or drink some fluids before surgery.
On the day of the procedure, you should not use hair products containing alcohol such as hairspray. The outcome of the surgery may be affected by such types of products. Patients are advised to wear comfortable clothes, if possible loose clothing. Arrange a secure transportation from home to the center and back. Driving is not advisable after the surgical procedure. In fact, it not usually recommended to drive for at least three days after a LASIK surgery. Patients are often recommended to take a leave from work at least for four days after the LASIK procedure.
Patients should wear an eye shield (it is transparent) in order to protect the operated cornea from accidental rub or any kind of injury. If you are experiencing any severe pain, please do not wait for your next follow-up appointment with the doctor since it may require the immediate attention of an ophthalmologist.
In most cases, the patient is asked to come in for another appointment with Dr. Boothe within 24-48 hours from the surgical procedure. Patients are usually requested to meet an ophthalmologist at regular intervals for at least six months. Dr. Boothe will ask you to use eye drops to prevent inflammation or infection of the eyes after the LASIK procedure.
Your doctor may also recommend you to use a brand of artificial tears in order to lubricate your eyes, thereby preventing dry eyes. Avoid any kind of activities such as swimming, karate, football, boxing, etc for at least four weeks after the LASIK surgery. Patients are recommended to sleep after the procedure to reduce the possibility of post-operative pain. Never ignore any instructions given by your surgeon, for both pre and post-operative care. Follow the instructions of Dr. Boothe for healthy eyes and quick healing after a LASIK procedure. Surgical complications are rare in LASIK surgery, and can often be prevented by following the guidelines your surgeon will provide you.
I am so pleased with the pleasant attention I received by Dr. William Boothe and his members of staff. I could not imagine that before having my laser eye surgery I would smile and have a positive attitude. After the laser surgery, during the few weeks of recovery, I did not experience any complications.
I think I made the right decision to improve my eyesight with Dr. Boothe. At this center they really used the best technology available. They promised individual treatment and every member of the staff fulfilled it and made me feel relaxed in the process. I underwent procedures before going to Dr. Boothe of Boothe Laser Center and his office offers a new level of care.
Before I was “declared” a good candidate for IntraLastik surgery, some eye exams were performed by the assistants and I felt I could entrust my eyes in their hands. If there was something I did not understand, Boothe’s assistant who has great patience explained it to me. They spent a lot of time with me and I am very grateful for that. I felt support from the assistants through the laser surgery. For example, one nurse held my hand and the other explained what I might experience when Dr. Boothe will use the laser. During the surgery itself I almost felt nothing. Sometime I wanted to close my eyes because I felt the pressure of the laser on each eye. I was on the operating table for no more than 15 minutes.
I can now see without eyeglasses and contact lens. At last I have perfect vision, given to me by he capable hands of Dr. Boothe of Boothe Eyecare. I remember that some my friends said that patients who underwent laser surgery like Lasik or IntraLasik later needed to redo their surgery. But I found from my own experience that although I had the laser surgery two years ago, my eyesight have not been deteriorated at all. Do it when you are young and still have many years to enjoy the results!
My surgery went very well!
All my life I wanted to do laser eye surgery but I was a little scared. Two years ago my friend had an eye correction at the Boothe Eye Care & Laser Center. When she started to see clearly she was very happy. Since then I began thinking about my laser eye surgery. I read many success stories of different kinds of laser surgeries on their websitebut I hesitated because I did not know for how long the surgery will improve my vision. So far my friend has a good vision without any problems.
One evening I called my friend and asked her to go with me to the center. Next morning she called her counselor at the center and made an appointment with Dr. Boothe. When we arrived to Boothe’s Center I was a little excited. My friend took me to Boothe’s room.
I told Dr. Boothe that I wore glasses all of my life and the lately used contact lenses but each year I must switch my contact lenses because my sight changes and it cost a lot overall, with cleaning supplies etc. Dr. Boothe listened to me with attentive attitude and assured me that I can correct my vision without any complications. He asked me to go with his assistant to other rooms where they had examination devices to determine the exact condition of my eyes. It was absolutely painless and quick. His nurse was with me all the time and took me from one exam room to the other. In every room I met very pleasant nurses. They explained what I need to do and which equipment will be used. When the results were ready I waited for Dr. Boothe to was able to speak to me again. He very thoroughly learned my eye exam results and then looked at me and said that I was suitable for IntraLasik surgery. He explained the whole process which will be followed in my surgical procedure. He told me about the advantages of laser eye correction and its disadvantages. I asked how much it will cost and his assistant offered a price and financing plan that suited my expectations. I answered that I will consider and if I agree I will make a call to center. Dr. Boothe said that he will be glad to see me again.
One week later I called the center and the nurse appointed a day for IntraLastik vision correction surgery. My friend told me in detail about the procedure and reassured me that I could not find such a professional surgeon anywhere else in the U.S. When I came to the center I exactly knew what to expect.
Before surgery the nurse gave me papers which I had to sign. I waited about half an hour when the nurse came back and took me to a special room where I was prepared for surgery. I wore the sterile clothing and took a tranquilizing pill. When I was right the nurse took me to operating room. The nurse had me lay down on the operating table so she can put eye drops in my eyes. After about 3 minutes,Dr. Boothe began to operate my right eye. The laser surgery was absolutely painless. It only felt uncomfortable when Dr. Boothe used the eye dilator. The surgery on my right eye only took three minutes. When he worked on my left eye, it was so quick that I did not feel anything. After the surgery, I feel a little dizzy. The nurses took me to the postoperative room and helped me remove the clothing and asked me to rest before Dr. Boothe exams my eyes. I laid down and fell asleep for a couple of hours until the nurse woke me up. To exam my eyes, Dr. Boothe asked me to read the letters on the letter board. I was able to read 10 lines and it was great! The nurse gave me eye drops and a prescription and I was allowed to back home.
Before the surgery, I was afraid that there will be postoperative complications, but when I returned home I felt well! My friend visited me and helped me put eye drops in my eyes.
During the next day, I went back to Dr. Boothe so he can exam and test my eyes again. I was delighted when Dr. Boothe said I have 20/20 vision. The only regret I have is that I waited so long to get this done!
Seeing without contacts
How often we don’t appreciate what we have, for example when it comes to having a good vision. I understood it after my eyesight deteriorated when I was 55 years old. I disliked wearing glasses and about 2 years wore contact lenses. With them, my eyes tired very quickly and I could not read for long periods of time. It upset me , especially when I recalled the times when I could see with my natural eyes.
My children advised me to try to improve my eyesight with laser correction. The first time I visited Boothe Laser Center they had to persuade me that this is not risky procedure. The service was wonderful, everything is clean and tidy, the nurses very attentive and polite. I was approved for IntraLasik procedure by Dr. William Boothe.
I realized that eye surgery is important for me and my children supported my decision. Before surgery I had 5.75 sight in the right eye and 5.15 in the left one. Before the main surgery I had laser coagulation of the retina. After the laser eye surgery I was afraid to open my eyes. But when I opened them my joy was boundless. Already in the same evening I could test my new vision. My pleasure is measured very simply – 20/20 vision!
Thank You Boothe Eyecare
I went to have my eyes done at Boothe eyecare and I am happy that I was treated by Dr. Boothe and not by any other doctor.
I tried to learn as much as possible about laser eye surgery before deciding to visit Dr. Boothe. One of the things I kept reading about was that good outcomes would be effected by the surgeon’s skills. From Dr. Boothe’s website I knew that he had performed more eye surgeries than anyone else in the area and was highly regarded by other surgeons. This expert opinion in the ophthalmology field made Dr. Boothe the obvious choice.
My surgery itself was quick and painless. After the surgery I was treated by the nurses and assistant crew who were all charming. Now in both eyes I have 20/20 vision. This has been a blessing, I feel more confident and recently my boyfriend has asked me to marry him! Thank you Dr. Boothe!
Do you remember your first day at school? Do you remember that big and fantastic world in all its details and beauty, when you were so young? Most of us could manage without those bothersome glasses or contact lenses. But times are changing and often not in the good way. Unfortunately, our vision sometimes plays bad tricks on us, especially after sitting for hours in front of a computer, a TV set or playing with game consoles. The strain on the eyes can worsen your eyesight. As a result, we suffer from common eyesight problems such as farsightedness, nearsightedness and astigmatism.
Don’t give up. We have good news for you. With Dr. William Boothe and his best practices in Lasik correction, you will feel like a kid again the next day after surgery. Lasik may give you 20/20 vision or better!

The Boothe Laser Center’s “Halloween Pirate Ad” is a holiday ad. It’s designed to inform people about the wonders of IntraLASIK vision correction and Dr Boothe’s awesome 50% OFF deal. Dr. Boothe gave us a great offer to work with (50% OFF) That’s right, for a limited time, IntraLASIK vision correction is HALF-PRICE! People are saying, “Goodbye!” to glasses and contacts forever because IntraLASIK vision correction gives them 20/20 vision or better! Glasses and contacts can get very cumbersome and messy when you wear a costume.
Sometimes they can even become painful. Let’s face it…glasses, contacts and costumes just don’t mix. Glasses get make-up on them and contacts always seem to get hair in them or fall out at the worst times. “Ooops! Sorry, Honey! We have to stop and look for my contact here on the pavement while we’re trying to Trick-Or-Treat! Sorry!” Never a good idea. The goal is to attract, humor, educate and delight potential IntraLASIK vision correction clients. Our Pirate looks more like he’s dressed-up as a nerd with those glasses on. The headline quickly has the viewer realize that glasses and contacts mess up Halloween – in more ways than one. At The Boothe Eye Care and Laser Center we have the latest technology, the most experienced LASIK surgeon in the world and a comforting price guarantee.
